The last week of the course, we were assigned a final project to present learning gained, a plan for future projects or ideas for a way of improving some aspect of the farm. I chose to design a line of value-added items produced on the farm with a name and logo image, along with ideas for various products to be processed and sold. The products would incorporate various herbs from the farm, coming together to create tea blends, tinctures, and powders, with the possibility of also selling products like fermented veggies, kombucha, or even skin care products made from beeswax. The inspiration behind the product line came from a desire to utilize the sacred medicine that is so abundant on the land and share that plant knowledge and healing power with the community. Preserving plants to preserve health.
This is the final image I presented to Dash, Erika, and Briel, which includes the name Mana Medicinals I came up with for the farm products.
